iPhone 19 Could Finally Feature Under-Display Selfie Camera for a True All-Screen Experience

Apple is reportedly closer than ever to launching a truly all-screen iPhone, with the iPhone19 expected to be the first to feature an under-display selfie camera. This development could mark a major design shift as the iPhone celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2027.

Under-Display Camera: At least one iPhone model in 2027 could ditch the front-facing camera cutout entirely.

Face ID Under Display (2026): Apple plans to move Face ID components beneath the display starting with the iPhone 18 Pro lineup next year.

- Smaller Dynamic Island: The iPhone 17 Pro Max, launching in 2025, may feature a more compact Dynamic Island cutout as part of this gradual transition.

According to The Information, Apple is investing in technologies that will eventually eliminate all visible sensors on the iPhone’s screen. This will give users a completely edge-to-edge display experience, something Android rivals have been experimenting with for a while.

If all goes as planned, the iPhone 19 could be the cleanest, most immersive iPhone design yet — offering a glimpse into the next generation of smartphone aesthetics.
